inalists of the maiden edition of the Bamenda III Festival of Heritage Arts and Cultures (FEHACU) beauty pageant are now known. The finalists emerged from an inclusive highly competitive contest at the Nkwen Fon's Palace on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
"We are happy with our girls who summoned courage to be part of this maiden edition of Miss FEHACU. Personally I feel happy with the fact that most of them are proposing project that will connect young people to their culture. This is the very essence of our festival. As a council, we are committed to make sure that those who shall win will have all the support to carry on their projects. They shall be having interesting prices and that is already something to start with." Quinta Mankaa Bamenda III Secretary General said after the contest.
The finalists have been advised to step up their preparation for a better performance programmed for Saturday 27 November 2021 being day two of the festival. The beauty pageant most of them students of the university of Bamenda based within Bamenda III municipality have expressed satisfaction with the Council for offering them such an uncommon opportunity in recent times.
"We are also happy that we succeeded to have an inclusive Miss FEHACU contest. You so one of the contestants on a wheelchair and another an albino. I must single out these two and thank them for trusting us by coming to participate. Our principal goal as a council is to ensure that our development like every other actity is inclusive." The Secretary General added.
Also featuring during the FEHACU pre-event was a performance by several dance groups from around the Bamenda III municipality.
